Carl Edelmann sen. and his son Carl jun. establish Edelmann GmbH.
Alongside printing business stationery, postcards and Notgeld (‘emergency money’ produced by private businesses during hyperinflation), the company produces folding boxes for the first time.

Carl Edelmann jun. becomes the first chairman of the newly founded Fachverbandes der Faltschachtelindustrie or Folding Box Industry Association.
Folding box production becomes the highest-earning activity.
Edelmann develops from a simple printer of folding boxes to a producer of high-quality packaging for medications, cosmetics and other high-end goods. The company sets standards in investment, human resources and quality assurance and is a pioneer in the adoption of IT-based processes.
Edelmann is awarded the German Packaging Prize for the first time.
Carl Edelmann’s sons-in-law, Karl-Josef Ehrhart and Mandred Weber, take over the business.
Edelmann acknowledges the rapidly growing internationalization of its customer base by opening its first branch in Paris.
Mr. Dziallas has been nominated as general manager on January 27th, 1975.
First company takeover: Wepack GmbH in Weilheim comes under Edelmann’s umbrella. This significantly expands production capacity.

French company La Spic S.A.S. becomes Edelmann’s first production site outside Germany. The purchase is the foundation stone for the development of a successful international group.
Start of operations in Eastern Europe: Eldruk Sp.z.o.o. becomes Edelmann Poland.
With the takeover of Artur Theis, and its sites in Wuppertal and Beijing, Edelmann creates a foothold in China.
Graphopak GDG, S.A. de C.V. becomes Edelmann’s production site in Mexico.
With the takeover of Koopmann Leverkusen, Edelmann successfully enters the patient information leaflet business. Edelmann becomes a supplier of complete packaging systems.
The takeover of Lindauer Druckerei Eschbaumer GmbH & Co. KG makes Edelmann Germany’s largest producer of patient information leaflets.
The company expands its commitment in Eastern Europe with the takeover of Zalai Nyomda Zrt., Hungary’s second-largest packaging printer.
Edelmann Leaflet Solutions GmbH is established.
