The Edelmann Group, a leading packaging specialist, is bundling its activities in the leaflets segment within Edelmann Leaflet Solutions GmbH. The newly founded company, which represents a further step in the strategic expansion of the Edelmann Group’s system business, will merge two of the Group’s German locations, the Lindauer Druckerei Eschbaumer in Lindau and Wepack in Leverkusen. The Edelmann Group is working on the consistent further development of its system solution offers, and focus is currently being placed on its capacities in the leaflet area. The Heidenheim-based provider of packaging solutions already extended its capacities in this area in June by upgrading its facilities with the latest generation of folding machines. With an overall annual capacity of 1.5 billion units, the Edelmann Group is now one of the largest leaflet manufacturers in Germany. With the establishment of Edelmann Leaflet Solutions GmbH, Edelmann has now completed the organisational aspects. By bundling the activities of the two German leaflet locations, leaflet orders can now be managed outside of the individual facilities in Lindau and Leverkusen. This not only enables capacities to be increased at short notice, as the duration of projects can be shorted while increasing flexibility. An aspect that is decisive for the timely completion of multiple packaging components, which are usually required for health care and beauty care products. The importance of system business in these segments is growing constantly. The Edelmann Group therefore intends to successively expand its activities within this area.
